Job Description

BEWISE SA is currently seeking for a highly motivated and skilled Mid-level IT technical support engineer to join our client’s dynamic warehouse team based in Avlona- Attiki. This critical role will ensure the smooth operation of our client’s warehouse technology systems, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of his distribution network.

 About the Role:

An IT Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support and maintenance for all warehouse IT systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control systems, and related hardware and software. Will work closely with warehouse staff, IT colleagues, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and optimize system performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, critical area of our client’s business and make a tangible impact on his operations.

Candidate’s Profile (Skills & Requirements)

  • BSc in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electrical & Computer Engineer or relevant studies
  • Experience providing technical support in a warehouse or distribution center environment is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with inventory control systems, RFID, barcode scanners, and other warehouse hardware is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English language (both written and verbal communication)
  • Positive thinking and optimistic behavior are characteristics that we always appreciate and value
  • Military Obligations completed
  • Driver’s license

Main Accountabilities:

  • Provide first and second-level support for warehouse IT systems, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including backups, updates, and performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work with vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify system improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for warehouse IT systems and processes.
  • Participate in the implementation of new warehouse technologies and system upgrades.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Serve as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
